- Untouchability ,denied access to basic necessities of life , segregation. They face a lot of hardships.

- Inequality faced can have severe and long lasting impact at different levels-: 1, Social- Emotional 2. Economic 3. Psychological
- SOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEVEL
- -Lower caste people can feel different from higher caste people or less than ,- It can also impact their feeling of belonging or how they see their identity.- Likely to feel isolated and loose faith in humanity.
- PSYCHOLOGICAL LEVEL
- 1. Have lower self belief or self worth.2. Have low self esteem3.Feel powerless and frustrated4, Have reduced aspirations5. Struggle to reach their full potential.
- ECONOMIC LEVEL
- - They earn much less than the average national household .- SC and ST earn 21 and 34 % less than the average national income whereas OBC earn 8% less than the average national
