- Im Carol, Im currently sediments at the bottom of the ocean.
- Since I’m currently sediments the next step of the rock cycle is for me to be compressed and compacted to become a sedimentary rock. I’m still at the bottom of the ocean, so here is where I wait to be compressed
- The next step for me in the rock cycle is to become a metamorphic rock, I do this through heat and compression. After millions of years of waiting to become sedimentary rock, I've made it pretty deep into the earth. Here is where I form into a metamorphic rock.
- After I go through metamorphosis and turn into a metamorphic rock, I need to turn into magma. Becoming magma is a simple process although it could take anywhere from 1 day to a million years
- I become magma by getting very hot, as soon as I'm magma I can go through a cooling process which can take anywhere from 8 months to 1.5 years. After cooling I become an igneous rock.
- My cycle does not stop here. I go through weathering which brings me back to my original state, sediments.
