- Hey um Priyanka you know about the Comic book contest, well I signed you up without telling you sorry about that but, you ended up winning so congrats.
- Really?! Thank you so much! With the prize money I can be able to go to India.
- There was an Indian girl named Priyanka who was in high school. She loves to make comics and she's really good at it. One day Her teacher said that there was a comic book contest and the winner will have their comic book published and will win $500. Priyanka's teacher suggested that she join, but Priyanka said no because she didn't believe in herself.
- Beta listen, I just got a phone call from your aunt that she is pregnant and she really needs someone right now. I promised myself that I will never go back to India so you can go instead but be careful alright?

- One day when she got home she found a box and inside it was a pashmina (Indian clothing) and when she put it on she was in India seeing all these amazing things about India. When she took off the Pashmina she came back to reality. After that, she knew she wanted to go to India.
- I know what you mean. We need to find out where the pashmina came from so we can know the reason of all of this.
- Priyanka, when I put on the pashmina I saw my future daughter teaching!
- The next day, Priyanka was in school and her class just ended. Then her teacher held her back. He said that he had signed Priyanka up for the Comic book contest without her knowing and Priyanka won. She won $500 and now her comic book is going to be published. Priyanka was thrilled to hear that and she thought with the $500 she could now afford to go to India. She went home to tell her mom the good news and how she wants to go to India but when she told her mom that she immediately said no and how it's too dangerous.
- Wait Priyanka let me come with you. It may be too dangerous in there all by yourself.
- No. I think I need to do this by myself. I don't know why but something is telling I need to. Give me the Pashmina I think I need it.
- Priyanka kept trying to convince her mom to change her mind and let her go to India but her mom wasn't having it until one day she got a phone call from her sister that she is pregnant and that she needed someone with her. Priyanka's mom didn't want to go to India because she promised herself that she will never go back there so she finally agreed on letting Priyanka go to India.
- When her plane landed her aunt was waiting for her. She and her aunt were taking a taxi to go to her aunt's house while the taxi was driving she noticed that India was nothing like she thought it was. She looked outside her window and saw a lot of poverty and felt very bad for them. When they got home Priyanka went to her room and put on the pashmina again trying to see the India she had seen back home but she saw nothing. Her aunt went to her room and saw that she was upset so she asked what was wrong. Priyanka then told her about the pashmina and what she saw. She was confused and told her to just go to bed. While Priyanka was sleeping her aunt decided to try on the pashmina herself and then she saw her future daughter teaching at a school and then came back to reality. In the morning Priyanka's aunt told her about what she saw. Then they both decided that they needed to find out where the pashmina came from.
- They asked everyone around them where the pashmina came from but no one knew where it came from until they stumbled across this one lady who said she knew where the Pashmina came from. She said that the maker of the pashmina was a girl named Rohini who worked in a factory in Warangal. So Priyanka and her aunt went there. When they came to the factory Priyanka told her aunt to give her the Pashmina and wait for her outside. Priyanka went inside while she was wearing the Pashmina and she saw Shakti. (A Indian goddess) Shakti said that she has to pass down the pashmina on. Priyanka then came back to reality and went outside of the factory and told her aunt everything she had seen. She then gave her aunt the pashmina and said to give it to her future daughter. After that, they went back home. When Priyanka returned to school her teacher asked if she made any new comics and she said yes. The comic book was called pashmina by Priyanka Das
