- In 1884, Paris, A man's daughter was ordered to be married by paying the father.
- Climax
- The daughter soon realized he was a lower class man in the city. She didn't want that she wanted to be noticed by everyone and wanted to be spoiled.
- Falling action
- The man came to the house one night with good news, a party, a fancy party with rich people. The woman was worried and sadden as she didn't have a dress or expensive jewlery. So a woman they know lends them a diamond necklace to use for the party and she bought a dress.
- Resolution
- Once she was all ready and went to the party she had a good time and got recognize, she was very happy and didn't want to go home, the man wanted to go home and soon enough they went home.
- The Woman was in shock as she saw the diamond necklace wasn't on her neck, she panics as she looks all over the house and soon enough does not find it. Due to that they pay for a new diamond necklace and live in poverty.
- Since poverty they need to work extra hard and actually was able to visit the woman who lend them the diamond necklace and told them the whole story. She was in shock as she said the necklace she gave them was a mere replica of the real one.
