Giles Corey enters the courtroom in an attempt to save his wife Martha Corey from being hanged.
Francis Nurse immediately interrupts to tell the judge about his own evidence, which Danforth promptly silences.
Proctor, Corey, and Mary Warren all enter the courtroom at the same time. They assert that the females are deceiving them.
Martha:" I do not hurt them. I scorn it!"Giles:" I have evidence for the court!"Danforth:" You will keep your seat."(Lines 13-20)
Parris begs Mary to demonstrate how she fakes fainting, but she refuses. They're attempting to overturn the court, according to Parris.
Francis:" The girls, sir, the girls are frauds."Danforth:" What's that?"(Lines 130-131)
Abigail accuses Mary of lying when she tries to confess. When Mary tries to convince Abigail that she is lying, she starts an episode, and Mary joins in.
"(Enters Gils Corey from left. All turn to see as he beckons in Mary Warren with Proctor. Mary is keeping her eyes to the ground; Proctor has her elbow as though she were near collapse.)"(Lines 152-156)
The girls are screaming that Proctor is the devil and trying to kill him. Proctor is angry about what the girls just did.
