As she waits for the American authorities to determine her fate, Parvana has flashbacks to the past four years of her life when she and her family started a school for girls. In this flashback, the government is opening the school.

Parvana loves to teach, but being an ordinary student is not enough for her. She tries to balance being a student and a teacher but she struggles. She does not like multiplying fractions specifically.
Why I recommend this book/series:It is based on a real event that happened.It has great characters and character development.It is easy to read and understand.
