- People are used to communicating through their electronics like iPads, computers or iPhones. They aren't even comfortable going on a date in real life, so they do it through their computers.

- Little does lady Jane know, Rick is a scam artist and he is just trying to get lady Jane to send money to him for travel fees.
- Meeting up
- After rick convinced lady Jane to send him $10,000, she has no money left and once he found that out he stopped talking to her and blocked her.
- Our Unit
- these people could be manipulating what they look like completely. They could be a troll and you wouldn't even know because of the power of technology.
- If you ever date someone online, make sure you meet them in real life first. Meet them over some coffee in a populated area so they can't pull anything. Just to make sure they aren't phishing you.
- This fits unit 2 very well because unit 2 is all about phishing and scams. This example is mostly scams but phishes you to get scammed. This is a lot like a phishing email, there are certain things they can do to make it obvious that they aren't real. Like in the calls/emails there's a thing called too good to be true and that could be like if a man told you he was 6'4, a bodybuilder and a multimillionaire. I wouldn't believe that.
