- This is Jimmy Valentine. He was a bank robber, and he was about to get released. When he was released, he went to a place where no one knew him. There, he decided to start his life over.
- At first, Jimmy continued to rob banks, but then moved to Elmore where no one knew him. He changed his name to Ralph D. Spencer and started a shoe business. Later, he fell in love with the banker's daughter, Annabel Adams. At the end of the year, they were engaged. One day, Mr. Adams got a new safe in his bank that was state of the art. He had invited his family to come and see it. So, Ralph, Annabel, Annabel's married sister and her two daughters went to have a look. They were all having a good time when the oldest girl accidentally locked the younger girl in the safe! Luckily, Jimmy had his old vault opening tools with him because he was going to give them away. With probing from Annabel, he used his tools to open the vault and free the little girl.

- Watching the whole scene was Ben Price, who was investigating the robberies that happened right after Jimmy was released from prison. But Ben saw the good thing Jimmy did, and when Jimmy walked up to him, he acted strangely. Jimmy said, "Hi, Ben." but Ben said, "I'm afraid I don't know you, sir. There's a car waiting for you outside." So, Jimmy Valentine got to keep his new identity and his life took a turn for the better.
