  • Ahhh I'm so nervous to present in class today! I hope they love it though, because I think the poem is truly uplifting and inspirational, and filled with positive energy.
  • All Things Bright and Beautiful
  • All things bright and beautiful,All creatures great and small,All things wise and wonderful,The Lord God made them all. Each little flower that opens,Each little bird that sings,He made their glowing colors,He made their tiny wings. The purple-headed mountain,The river running by,The sunset, and the morning,That brightens up the sky;The cold wind in the winter,The pleasant summer sun,The ripe fruits in the garden,He made them every one.He gave us eyes to see them,And lips that we might tell,How great is God Almighty,Who has made all things well.
  • Read the poem for us Mariam
  • -metaphor: glowing colors-personification: “the river running by” “each little bird that sings”
  • Allusion: “their tiny wings”
  • There's no alliteration, nor onomatopoeia, but repetition in "all" in stanza one.
  • The stanzas are quatrain because each stanza consists of four lines.
  • This is a rhymed verse form
  • This is Mariam and today, she is going to present her project on a poem called "All Things Bright and Beautiful" by Cecil Frances Alexander that she read and analyzed to her class at school.
  • -Tone: admiring -Theme: God Almighty
  • Mariam is in the classroom, ready to present her outstanding project that she worked on about a poem by Cecil Frances, who is a writer and a poet. Mariam read the poem and mentioned that this poem talks about how incredible God is. The God who has given us eyes to see and lips to talk with, God who controls the seasons, who controls the sun, and the God who makes and created everything and can make anything.
  • In the poem the poet mentions all things that are bright and beautiful as the creations of God. She says that all things are bright and beautiful, all creatures great and small, all things wise and wonder.
  • Over here, Mariam is explaining the poetic devices used in this poem, the type of stanza it has, and the type of poem, which is rhymed verse and she mentioned that ab ab is used.
  • Thank you dear Mariam, it was a beautiful presentation with a beautiful choice of a poem, it contains a moral message introducing the students to God, who is the creator of everything, well done!
  • Thank you so much for listening!
  • Mariam moved to talking about the tone, the theme, and what the message behind this poem is
  • we should worship God who is the the creator of everything, who has given us eyes to see, who has given us ears to hear, who has created everything for us, and who has made all things well.
  • Mariam is now summarizing what the poem is about and explaining that the poet wants to spread the words that we should all worship god, who is the creator of all and that everything is beautiful because of God.
  • Isn’t God who has created all these things in a very thoughtful way, great? That is why he has given us eyes to see his creations and appreciate his gifts to us, and lips to praise him.
  • The teacher loved Mariam's project and Mariam felt so proud and happy. THE END
