- hello, my name is Thomas Preston I was involved in the Boston massacre as a British officer, and accused of something I didn't do. The Boston Massacre was a deadly riot that happened on march 5th of 1770. It had begun as a small street fight or brawl and turned into a chaotic, bloody slaughter.
- As I watched the fight happen someone had yelled "fire" and all my men had fired their weapons not knowing that it wasn't me who had said it.
- Once the dust cleared it revealed that there were 3 colonists dead and 2 with severe wounds and not long after had sadly passed.
- Before the trial, he was in jail for several months. if they found him guilty then the only option for Preston was the death penalty, along with all the men that had fired the bullets.
- During Preston's trial, he denied multiple times that he did not give the order for the British soldiers to fire. There were three people that had defended him and did not see him give the order, but there were also 4 people on the prosecution side who had said they saw him give the order.
- After Preston was acquitted he had decided to leave the army, and had settled in Ireland.
