- Marilyn was born on June 1, 1926, originally named Norma Jeane. But changed it when she became famous.
- Her mother was later placed in a mental institution, for smothering Marilyn with a pillow.
- So then Marilyn was placed into many foster homes, she would always get abused and go to a different one.
- When she was 16 she decided to marry her neighbor so she didn't have to return to the orphanage.
- Later her husband, James Doughtery, joined Merchant Marines during World War II and she started working at a factory.
- When her husband was shipped overseas she worked at a parachute factory.
- A photographer noticed her and offered her a job in modeling. she also wanted to act so she enrolled in drama classes.
- Later when her husband came back he made her choose between him or acting, they soon got divorced.
- She continued with acting and modeling, and soon got a new name, Marilyn Monroe, and a new hair style.

- She dated Joe Dimaggio, they married and divorced in the same year. She also married Arthur Miller, she was married a total of three times.
- Marilyn died August 5th 1962. She was found in her bedroom with a bottle of sleeping pills beside her.
- Marilyn continued acting, winning a Golden Globe Award for best actress in "Some Like It Hot". Her last film was "Somethings Got To Give" but was never completed.
