- Larger Class Size
- Welcome. Wow this is one of my larger classes I've had at UK! We will be discussing the topics of Astronomy in this class. Throughout we will have opportunities to explore deeper and in different settings.
- I am glad this was offered as an option. I really wanted to learn outside of the class but didn't have the confidence to talk in the smaller settings.
- Increase in Students confidence and retention of content
- With larger classes, consistently meeting in small groups is not feasible. To combat this, the instructor will head an event and offer zoom meetings each month. The attendance to one event or meeting will be required for their grade.
- Along with the larger class sizes, for students who want to deepen their understanding but are uncomfortable in a small, more personal interaction, the instructor will attend an event related to the content each month. This will allow those shyer students to get the same benefit out of the class while being more reserved,
- With the increase opportunities and flexible learning, the students knowledge and confidence would increase.
