  • The wood floors in the basketball court were awesome. The red ball bounced 2m and the tennis ball bounced 1.8m. Lets try this out on the street surface and see if anything changes.

  • The independent variable was the type of floor surface. The dependent variable is the height the balls bounced. The control variables were the same amount of force to drop the ball, same types of balls, and the same height we dropped them from.
  • We have variables so we can observe what we need to change or manipulate in an experiment to get the accurate results.
