- This scene is depicting character vs. nature because it’s showing how Lyddie is handling nature, which in this case is the bear. The bear is causing the conflict of messing up their home which Lyddie is having to take care of.
- This scene is showing character vs. character because it’s describing how Mistress Cutler and Lyddie are getting into a conflict about Lyddie going on a vacation. Mistress Cutler got angry at Lyddie and dismissed her which created the conflict for Lyddie of not having a job.
- This scene is describing character vs. self because Lyddie is having to make the tough decision whether to give Ezekiel the calf money or not. This is creating the conflict between Lyddie and her internal decision.
