It's a shame, isn't it, that people crowded too close to the park. And the water in the lake became poisoned too, I,m told.
Melanie is sitting in her boooth daydreaming about flamingos, completely ignoring the teaching machine.
Falling Action
I guess those flamingos needed more than just this little island to survive
Melanie and her dad are on their way to see flamingos. Melanie is soexited. She has been waiting for this moment for so long now.
Resolution
She went to touch the flamingo. As soon as she touched it, it fell over. She went to touch it again, and it was cold and hard. It was fake. Them, she began to cry. The caretaker started to explain.
Conflict/Theme
The caretaker explained more about the flamingos and what happened to them. Melanie was listening to him.
Melanie heard everything that he said. She picked up the firebird and stood it up carefully. The whispered, Goodbye and turned to go.
Goodbye...
The Conflict is character vs society because she is going against the problems and what has happened to her society. The theme is acceptance because at the end, she has to accept the fact that flamingos, or firebirds, are gone.
