- Together, we have tried our best to comfort and help Vanessa with this problem. We even had her to do therapy, which has helped her greatly. My wife has unenrolled her from the acting school as well. We all agreed that it was best for her to stop acting for now. Fast forward to now, Vanessa is doing great. She is not underweight anymore and loves herself unconditionally. She has moved on from her acting goals and is finding a new passion to chase.
- One day, I came by to her school to give her the afternoon snack she left in the car. As I walked in, I heard loud yelling in the room where my daughter practices. Her teacher had been yelling at her. Apparently, he says she is still “not thin enough” for the role.
- “If you want to keep this role, you will have to lose more weight! I have told you enough times, yet you have still not listened to me. If you keep this up, I will have no choice but to remove you from this performance and might even expel you from this school!”
- After hearing this, I immediately barged in and defended my daughter. After what seemed like hours of yelling, I took her to the doctors. They diagnosed her with anorexia nervosa. I listened carefully to what the doctor was saying. After the trip to the doctor, I informed my wife about this.
