- 2. Boss we just wanted to discuss the hours we have been working each week. We feel like they are too much and they are taking a toll on our wellbeing. Can't you reduce them?

- Bonga and Thabo decided to take this matter up to their manager Joshua to discuss a way forward on how he could assist them on the matter.
- 1. Joshua, thank you for meeting up with me. I'd like us to discuss about a matter your employees brought into my attention. You have been overworking them and that is illegal according to the Labor Relations Act. why is that so?

- 2. That is the amount of work they signed up for and they should obliged to what they signed up for.
- After the meeting with their manager, Thabo and Bonga are concerned by the reaction their manager had towards their situation. They also seek another way to try and help their matter.

- 1. Bonga, Thabo like I promised to help you on your situation, I did so. everything has been resolved.
- 2. That is true guys, I have decided tolet you work only 45 hours per week. You also get 2 days off per month.
- Bonga and Thabo seek for assistance at the SAPSWU offices and meet up with Khoza whom they hope will assist them.
- 3. Worry not Gentlemen. I shall assist you, I will go speak to your boss and we will find a solution. I'll then let you know the outcome of the meeting.
- Khoza meets up with Joshua to try and resolve the matter that Thabo and Bonga are facing.
- 3. Please don't lie sir,that is not what their contract speculated. they are obliged to work only 45hours per week not this 55 hours you're enforcing on them. Please fix ths matter before the authoroties find out and hold you liable and close this company.
- 4. Okay fine, I'll decrease the amount of hours they work to 45 hours and give them two day offs per month. Thank you for bringing this up to my attention.
- The matter has been sorted, all parties are happy with the outcome of the meeting.
