  • Can someone tell me how a computer encodes?
  • Can you tell me Bruno?
  • OK
  • Inside a computer, all data is transferred as a sequence of on-or-off electrical signals. As a result, any type of data. must be transformed into binary form before being processed by a computer. The computer will simply not comprehend or interpret the data if it is not converted to binary.
  • When a key on a keyboard is pushed, it must be translated to a binary number before the computer can process it and display the typed character on the screen. To convert text to binary, use coding in which each number represents a character. ASCII is one of the codes we may choose for this.
  • The ASCII code can only hold 128 characters, which is enough for most English words but insufficient for other languages. More letters are required to use accents in European languages or bigger alphabets such as Cyrillic and Chinese Mandarin. As a result, a new code named Unicode was developed. This meant that individuals speaking different languages could use computers.
  • Well done!!
