- “We put up barriers to protect who we think we are. Then one day we get stuck behind the barriers and we can’t get out” (Fisher 34-35).He did not love himself so he hid behind armor and became this unrecognizable person to his family, he hid his identity.
- “Have you mistaken need for love? Yes, you love Juliet and Christopher but do you need them?” (Fisher 49). He mistook need for love and let is wife and son get in the way causing an affect on him that made him try to be a hero all the time.

- “The knight cried harder as he realized that if he didn’t love himself he couldn’t love others. His need for them would get in the way” (Fisher 51) He did not love himself which caused issues with loving others.
- “He saw his life clearly, without judgement or excuses. He accepted full responsibility for his life, for their influence people had on it, and for the events that had shaped it” (Fisher 72)He finally stopped trying to be someone else and was his own person, he took responsibility and started accepting life.
- “The knight was the book. He was the moon. He was the sun. He could be all these things and more, because he was one with the universe. He was love.” (Fisher 74) He finally reached self love which helped him find his identity, he could be anything he wanted because he knew himself.
