- Sexual Reproduction starts off with a male and female. They both give have of the child's DNA. The male gives the sperm and the female gives the egg or ovum. Each gamete gives 23 chromosomes each
- Gamete = reproductive cell for male(sperm) and female(egg)

- Millions of sperm cells from the male are released and swim through semento get to the egg first and fertilize it. All other sperm that don't reach the egg disintegrate. This sperm and that egg are what combine DNA to make a new baby
- Semen = what sperm swim through to get to the female's egg cell

- Now that the egg is fertilized it is now azygote.It then travels to the uterus lining of the female and clones itself multiple times. This then goes through cleavage develops into a Blastula
- zygote = a fertilized egg cell after the sperm has implemented its DNA into it.

- Embryo
- The Blastula now grows into a embryo through a process known as gastrulation. The embryo gets its nourishment through the placenta from the mother. Inside the stomach it resides in amniotic fluid and doesn't breathe.
- placenta =an organ that develops in theuterusduring pregnancy. Itprovides oxygen andfoodto the baby and removes waste product from the baby's blood. The placenta attaches to the wall of theuterus, and the baby's umbilical cord arises from it.

- Fetus
- The embryo has now grown into a fetus. This fetus has a brain, beating heart, arms, legs, It also is now around 12 inches long and responds to sounds. It weighs around half pound. This is all around the 5th -4th month of being inside the mothers stomach.
- Fetus = an unborn baby that developsafter the embryo stage around the 8th week of pregnancy.
