  • After reading the introduction and viewing the slideshow , the biggest take away for me was to remember that behind every student are parents that love them and know them better than I do. As a teacher I may think that I know best or that my ideas are the only ones that will work but the parents know what works and what doesn't work for their child. Parent can and should be a helpful and important part of every classroom.
  • Encourage open communication: Teachers can create a welcoming environment where parents feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and ideas. Teachers can provide opportunities for parents to ask questions and express concerns, and ensure that they are actively listening to what parents have to say.
