Hello, today I am going to be speaking a little English, exactly the second and third conditional.
The second conditional is the one we use when we talk about things, usually unreal, that are very unlikely to happen.
Example:-If you won the lottery, you would travel the whole world.-If I didnt each so much sugar, I would be healthier.-If I were tall, I would be happier.-If they ate less, the would be healthier.-If the snake bit you, you would die.
The structure of the second conditional is as follows: If + Simple Past + Subject + Would + Infinitive
Third conditional talks about the past, unlike the first and second which discusses events in the real or unreal future.
These condition, to, are therefore impossible, because they have either already occurred or might have occurred but won't anymore.
Example:-If she had been there, I would have seen her.-If we had more time, we would have visited London.-If she had studied more, she would have passed the exam.-If he had been friendlier, he wouldnt have offended anyone.-If I hadnt gone to the concert, I would never have met Camila.
The structure is: If + Noun + Past Perfect + Noun + would have + Past Participle
Thank you for your attention in this new English class, until next time.
