  • The most important event was the Ionian Revolt. The Athens had sent troops to the Persian's worst enemy, the Ionians. With the Athens, the Ionians were able to burn down the Persian City. This would be their biggest mistake as King Darius would remember this and this would lead to the next 80 years of war.
  • By the end of the Persian Wars, the war had impacted Greece by turning the Greek into one unified nation. They were no longer separate city-states. A sense of nationalism made Greece become one people. Meaning pride in your country emerged from their war
  • This impacted Greece because after the Spartans won the battle after Athens surrendered, it weakened the Greek city-states and wars broke out and many city-states were conquered by Macedonia.
