- Once there was an old farmer.He was famous for his wisdom and love of hard work.
- He had four sons.They were very lazy.They shirked work .The farmer was very much worried about their welfare .He often rebuked them for their ildness.All his efforts,however,ended in smoke.
- One day he became seriously ill.He felt that his end was drawing near.He thought of a plan to change the habits of his sons.He called them together to his death-bed.
- I am tellin you a secret .A big treasure is lying buried in my field.Dig deep and you shall get wealth .Start digging thirteen days after my death."Soon after this old man died.
- After thirteen days ,the sons went to the fields.They dug every inch of the fields but did not find the hidden treasure .They felt sad .After a few days,it rained eavily.The soil improved .Someone advised them to sow seeds in those well-ploughedand well-watered fields.They sowed the seeds and had a rich crop.They became rich.
- Elder brother said This was the hidden treasure .They had dug it up with their own labour.Now all brother understand the moral ''No pains no gains''
