- As christopher lies on the ground escaping from the chaos that was above him he says that he puts his hands over his ears and rolls up into a ball intel his forehead is on the grass he says the grass feels wet and cold . Christopher uses this as his shield to block away what happened when Mrs.Shears started screaming Christopher resolves this by putting his head on the ground and focus on how the grass feels he uses this to block the outside world by acting like it didn't happen.
- Christopher lifts up the dog on the lawn and moves back 2 meters he was expecting the fact that she was going to pick up the dog her self but she didn't this shows that although through tough times Christopher is able to stay alert on what happens. although Christopher struggles to pick up on emotions he is able to detect the smallest amount off detail that will help him. it also shows that he is interested in what happened to the dog by looking what happened and investigating
