- Dan and Amy yell at Nellie, their Au Pair, to get her attention because she it always listening to her headphones. They ask her to be their adult on "a scavenger hunt". They don't specify what it is, but she agrees anyway.
- Chapter 9
- Irina Spasky follows Natalie and Ian around until she gets to a spot with them. She tries to kill Natalie and Ian with the poison underneath her finger nails, but never gets the chance. Instead, she ends up teaming with them through an offer Ian puts on the table.
- Chapter 10 (Part 1)
- Natalie is scaring me... I need to get out of here. Hey! I got an idea!
- (In French) Oh! I have fresh fruits that I forgot to show in customs!
- Amy and Dan find another part of the first clue in the Franklin Institute. The Starlings (Sinead, Ned, and Ted) steal the clue by taking a photo of it. The Starlings don't believe Amy when she says that they will get hurt if they leave, and they do and get put out of the race. Amy takes Sinead's phone as it was left behind. She uses it later.
- Chapter 10 (Part 2)
- William McIntyre tells them that everybody is targeting them. Amy gives William Saladin because it will be hard to keep the cat on their trips. William says that Jonah Wizard is going to the next on Dan and Amy's destination. That place is France.
- Ian and Natalie surround Alistair in the airport. Natalie has a disguised dart gun, shown as a doll. Alistair pretends to remember that he has fresh fruits in the customs, and the airport man brings him over there. Alistair then pretends to be a confused old man because he doesn't have fresh fruits in his bags.
- As Alistair walks out of the airport, a boy or man in a purple van pulls up and punches him in the face after saying hi.
- Hello... Uncle.
- Phew! I got rid of them!
