- This is showing Character vs Nature because Lyddie is running into an obstacle of getting soaked by the rain while she is trying to get to the mills, but having to stop because of the rain.
- This shows Character vs Character because it shows how upset she was after their mom told them they were being sold out against their will. This put a stop to most of their plans on the farm.
- This shows Character vs Self because it shows how anxious and worried she was that she was going to be a burden to someone new that she hadn't yet met (Triphena). This is way different then how she was in the beginning of the story and its showing hows shes changing as the story continues.
