Hello there! Welcome to Roxas Neurology and Nephropathy. I'm Doctor Williams. How may I help you?
Hi Doc! I'm Ivy from La Sallete University. I'm interested in becoming a Neurologist like you!
So Dr.Williams, what is a Neurologist?
I specialize in the anatomy, functions, and organic disorders of the nerves and the nervous system.
What education did you need?
I had 4 years a an undergraduate program, 4 years of medical school, an internship, and was in a residency program. I also needed to be board certified and state licensed.
Any special skills I need to have to be a good neurologist
I'd say that you have to be a good leader and communicator. You should also have patience and empathy.
If you don't mind me asking, how much do you make and what are your daily working conditions?
I make about $187,000 per year. Daily, I mostly see 13-18 patients a day. I work indoors so it's kinda nice
Lastly, what are some advantages and disadvantages of being a Neurologist?
Well Ivy, with my job I get free life insurance and paid vacation days. I don't enjoy the long hours and non patient related work as much.
