- Can you expand and describe the scenario that broke you down?
- I am fresh off a loss with my team the Florida Gators, now walking off the field. My head is droopy, with my helmet hanging low in disappointment. My goals were set on going undefeated with the idea of a national championship. With this new result my goals are ruined and I must learn to restart.
- How did this make you feel?
- I feel separated from God. I am in a state of confusion as I know I have been alienated from God and I wonder to myself how God let this happen to me. I know now because I am broken that god will remain with me through God's grace.
- Can you relate this experience to Original Sin
- Original sin affects all humans as it is the first action against God that removes your original holiness and original justice. Original sin also bring chaos to the world which is connected to the sadness associatedwith losing. I feel that original sin has put me in the state of alienation that humans inherit. While losing this game I can compare it to losing original holiness and how I can move on from both.
- I also can now see how Torah affects me. Jesus offers us wisdom to promote righteousness. This applies to our football team as wisdom in this game is valuable allowingus to overcome adversity. This is how God restores creation and the true self through his words and deeds we are given Torah and Hokmah enabling us to play with intensity and confidence.
- What other beliefs do you have that help you succeed?
- I am moving on from losing this game and my Original Holiness by focusing on my beliefs in Gods rituals and moral actions. God's grace is what helps me through tough times like this and I know that this undeserved help God gives me is constant. Torah allows me to move on through human flourishing which is only possible through God's commandments which is spoken through Torah. These beliefsenable me to put this in my past and play with a new mindset moving on.
- I hear what you are saying but how do you connect these two things you just discussed original sin and Torah to Football?
- I must allow myself to let go of any missed assignments during the game. I am going to regain focus on the next team by putting this in the past. One game doesn't define this team's ability as we have faith in each-other and God to guide us throughout the rest of the season.
- How can you officially move on and heal from this loss?
