  • Jason gathered the Argonauts: the heroes who fought with Jason in the journey of the golden fleece. Once the heroes arrived at Colchis, the king had set impossible tasks for Jason to complete in order to receive the fleece
  • Goddesses Hera, Athena and Apohrodite used their powers to make Medea, the daughter of the king, to fall in love with Jason in order to help him. Medea was a sorceress, and used her abilities to concoct magic elixers in for Jason and in exchange, Jason would make her his bride.
  • After Jason retrieves the fleece, he and Medea flee back to Iolcus, where Medea tricks the king's daughters into killing Pelias (king) so Jason can take the throne of Iolcus
  • The people of Iolcus are outraged by this atrocity and exile Jason and Medea to the island of Corinth. There, Medea has two sons from Jason. But, Jason leaves Medea for the princess of Corinth.
  • Medea uses her sons to poison the princess of Corinth, then kills her children to finalize her revenge against Jason. She then retreats on a golden chariot, implemented by her grandfather, Helios.
