  • (January 22, 1905)On Sunday, January 22, 1905, a Russian priest led a peaceful protest in front of the Tsar's Winter Palace. In this protest, they had hoped to discuss with the Tsar about creating a constitution, the right to form unions, and better working conditions. However, in fear of a revolt, the palace guards shot down many peaceful protesters and killed/wounded several hundreds of people.
  • Peace, Land, Bread
  • (January 22 - June 16, 1905)Due to Bloody Sunday, many people were enraged that these innocent workers were killed so many riots and revolts started. Many workers didn't work in order to participate in the 10-day strike which caused a lot of delay in production and halted all work and transportation.
  • The Russian Revolution
  • (Febuary 23, 1917)In 1917, women began to protest in the streets demanding bread and peace. After four days many other people began joining like 26 soldiers, sailors, and palace guards. The main message that they were protesting for was peace and bread for everyone.
  • Treaty of Brest-Litovask
  • (April 16, 1917)During WWI, the central powers wanted to make the Russian government, even more, weaker so that they could focus more on the western front. They had hoped that they could get Lenin back into Russia after being exiled so he could distract Russia by causing a revolution.
  • (October 25, 1917)Successfully, Lenin lead a revolution and proclaimed the country a Bolshevik state, where he went into power. Trotsky's troops had also seized most of Petrograd which influenced Lenin.
  • (March 3, 1918)The Bolsheviks and Germans signed a treaty agreeing to not fight anymore. Russia was very unstable and Germany needed to focus on the Western Front so this treaty was very helpful on both ends.
