- Pre-assessment: Look at the screen above, click on areas that might lead to a hacker stealing your information-Ad, email (attachments and links), pop-up "warning", Guest networks, web searches, web cam, and phishing texts. When the student clicks on each item a pop up will open and explain why that is a risk and how to avoid it.
- Learning Segments
- Fact: Hackers increasingly targeting schools and student information. Explain.
- Re-test/Post-Assessment
- Click on each item to find out how you need to protect yourself --> This will take the students to the 6
- Mini Lessons: Ad, email (attachments and links), pop-up "warning", Guest networks, web searches, web cam, and phishing texts. When the student clicks on each item a pop up will open and explain why that is a risk and how to avoid it. Each mini lesson will end with a question of activity for student to apply what they learned.
- Let's try this again. Click on each hotspot in the picture and write or record an explanation for the potential danger lurking there. Show correct answers at end of assignment to student. Important to debrief with students after final activity. 80% passing. If trends in skills students did not learn, create a follow-up module/activity to reinforce the skill.
