"I love you, hopefully we will stay safe and see each other again" said Allia, Aamira said her goodbyes back and they were gone.
Once the girls went through the hard journey of making it to the refugee camp they both got adopted and were separated.
When Aamira and Allia were adopted they were both forced into marriage at the age of 17 and were treated very unfairly. They were both in those homes for about 2 years.
After two years of being in their foster homes both Allia and Aamira decided to escape before they could get pregnant or anything worse happen.
Both of them went to the refugee camp they were at before hoping to find each other, and they did.
After Allia and Aamira found each other they immediately left the Kakuma refugee camp and started to run, again.
After they escaped, Allia and Aamira wanted to go to America to get an education, their dream jobs and their own shelter to stay safe.
Both Allia and Aamira went through very hard traumatic things even still being in America with not having their mom and trying to learn how to survive in such a new environment and they went on such a hard journey to get to America, from the war happening, them getting shot at, a forced marriage and then having to escape has changed them but they figured each problem out.
Once they got into America they started at a community college and are gonna build up upon on that and starting with a job to afford things. While they keep living in America, they hope to find their mom someday or to find her when the war in Southern Sudan ends.
