During the entire story, the White Witch is trying to capture one of the sons of Adam to stop the prophecy from becoming true. The prophecy is that two sons of Adam and two daughters of Eve will restore Narnia and become the next kings and queens. The prophecy also says that Aslan will defeat the White Witch and he will reign forever.
Peter, Edmund, Susan, and Lucy are all playing a game of hide and seek. Lucy discovers an empty room with nothing buta wardrobewith a sheet draped over it. She quickly runs in and hides in it. Lucy tries to find the back of thewardrobe when she feels something cold touch her skin. She opens her eyes and realizes that she has discovered ahidden world.
