  • I was born on 10 November 1934. I studied in Welsh Mission Girls High School
  • Tell us some more about your school..
  • Welsh missionaries started schools in Shillong bringing western Presbyterian Christianity, education and documentation of language.
  • On the occasion of Women's day, we have invited Sweetymon Rynjah on our special interview show to have some talk on her life.

  • Welson Missionaries encouraged the Khasi language to be documented.

  • I was the first Khasi women to pass the Assam Civil services exam. 
  • Thomas Jones, to evangelize the tribal peoples of the Khasi Hills of north-east.
  • I have written many books to teach others about her culture, but also how the intrinsic Khasi values can be found universally other cultures however, just expressed in their own unique way.
