- Hamartia: Johnny Lawrence is a member of the Cobra Kia dojo and when a new kid named Daniel Larrouso moves in and becomes friends with Johnny's ex-girlfriend he starts bullying Daniel with his Cobra Kia buddies.

- Hubris: Sensei John Kreese was fond of Johnny Lawrence so he was trained specially by him. This made Johnny feel like the top dog especially when he got to bully Daniel.
- STRIKE FIRSTSTRIKE HARDNO MERCY
- Perpetia: Daniel is tired of being bullied so he sprays water on Johnny with a hose, then he runs way to avoid fighting and finally when Johnny catches up to him Daniel's "Sensei" Mr. Miygi intervenes and is able to defeat all of the Cobra Kia kids including Johnny with ease.
- Anagorisis: At the tournament Johnny realizes that he was mean to Daniel but he doesn't care because he has a tournament to win. Him and Daniel both make it to the finals, but Daniel is injured by one of the other Cobra Kia members.
- Memesis: Daniel beats Johnny by the end of a really close match in which Johnny is instructed to sweep Daniels injured leg by his sensei Kreese. After this, then Daniel came up with the idea to use a techniqe he saw Mr. Miyagi use while prcticing once, to defeat Johnny and win the tournament.
- Catharsis: Johnny presents the trophy to Daniel himself to show his new respect and sportsmanship.
