- After spending the day with Daisy I went to bed. When I woke up I just needed to call Daisy, but something felt off. A strange feeling came upon my face. I was struggling to breathe. I needed to check a mirror.

- What I saw in the mirror was the reflection of a man I did not know. This man had no nose! How could this happen? Why?

- Why hello old sport. I understand you are on your way to work so I will only take a minute of your time. This will sound odd but the most peculiar thing has happened to me. I have lost my nose.

- I ask Nick what to do and there's long silence. He tells me he has to go so I hang up and go into town, of course with a mask.
- What a bizarre start of the day. What am I going to do? Daisy will never accept me like this. I have to call Nick. Maybe he'll know what to do.
- I had the police arrest Tom immediately. Daisy was very distraught and I tried comforting her, but she pushed away. She just wanted to be left alone.
- I was able to get my nose reattached by the best doctors in West Egg. I was good as new. But I felt awful. Nick told me that Daisy left. She just packed her things and left. I don't know what I'll do without her.

- I want to find Daisy and talk to her. I don't know what I want to say but I want to find her. But I don't think that's what she wants. For now, I need to figure things out for myself.
