  • Windy, have you ever considered that maybe you have anxiety? My mom used to have panic disorder, which is a type of anxiety, and her symptoms were a lot like yours. I know it's hard, and it's a lot to take in.
  • An anxiety disorder? Oh, I guess I never thought it was that serious...
  • Anxiety? You mean like stress? Maybe you can try essential oils? That always helps me calm down.
  • Yeah, but anyways, Windy, I think you should go talk to the counselor about this. I think she can help you more than I can.
  • Well anxiety is a little different. See stress is like being super worried for a short period of time. Anxiety comes in many different forms but it's long term worrying. It's actually pretty common. Almost a third of Americans have an anxiety disorder at some point in their lives.

  • So Windy, I think the best next step is to find a therapist. I'm glad you came to me before it got any worse, but what usually helps with anxiety like yours is psychotherapy. I know that sounds scary, but it's basically just "talk therapy". I'm going to recommend you for cognitive behavioral therapy. Basically, you'll work on finding ways to beat your fears, specifically by being exposed to them.
