Odysseus Discovers The Island
Entering the Cave
Polyphemus or Giant Cyclops
Odysseus's Men Are Eaten
In the distance, Odysseus sees an Island. He has been traveling for many years
Cyclops on the Hill with His Sheep
When Odysseus and his men get to the abandoned cave they go in to explore it.
Odysseus's 1st Attempt to Escape
Then they realize the cave that Odysseus and his men were in belonged to a giant cyclops named Polyphemus.
Exploring the Island
Two of Odysseus's men are killed because the cyclops was hungry and he did not have anything to eat.
Final Escape to the Boat
Eventually Polyphemus leaves the cave and goes to see his sheep on the hill. Meanwhile, Odysseus and his men attempt to escape the cave.
Odysseus and his men get out of the cave while Polyphemus was checking on his sheep.
Odysseus and his men explored the island but found nothing. They returned to the cave for food and warmth.
Polyphemus returned to the cave and Odyseeus and his men escaped a second time. They used the sheep to hide under and returned to Troy with the sheep.
