Today, it has dawned upon all of you that women are robust, we are so much more than just a pretty face. We are just as smart and talented as men. We shouldn’t have to prove ourselves through a victory nor an achievement. As Maya Angelou once said ‘Each time a woman stands up for herself, without knowing it possibly, without claiming it, she stands up for all women". So I stand here today accepting this award for not only me but for all women out there.
