"The very first thing I should do is teach you how to cook"
The cops shot and killed the Parents of Lexington and at twelves days old Lexington became an Orphan.
"You mean live animals"
"No... Dead ones"
Close relatives gathered at the house to see what they were going to do with Lexington and none of them seemed that they wanted responsibility of him, Then Aunt Glosspan came in and took responsibility and he moved to the state of Virginia at 13 days old.
"This it too bad"
Aunt Glosspan doesn't want to send Lexington to regular school because she is afraid of him eating meat because she is going to raise him as a vegetarian .
‘But I buried her myself, Mr Zuckermann, behind the cowshed.’
"You’ve got to pay for the funeral parlour. Surely you know that"
Lexington is confused about what other people eat and Aunt Glosspan explains how they cook animals by saying ‘They cut them up into bits and they cook the bits. They like it best when it’s all red and bloody and sticking to the bones. They love toeat lumps of cow’s flesh with the blood oozingout of it.’
After weeping bitterly for several minutes, for he had loved his aunt very much, he pulled himself together and carried her outside and buried her behind the cowshed. The next day, while tidying up her belongings, he came across an envelope that was addressed to him in Aunt Glosspan’s handwriting. He opened it and drew out two fifty Darling boy dollar bills and a letter.
Mr. Zuckermann is trying to take all of Lexingtons money and only gave Lexington $15,000 which he is happy he got something.
