- Halona is ready to begin her journey into adulthood by truly connecting with her culture through a vision quest. She meets with her Shaman and explains how ready she is to start her vision quest and enter adulthood.
- Halona goes for a walk trying to find the perfect place to pray.
- I think up there in the forest would be a perfect place to pray. It will be quiet and I will be surrounded by animals and nature which will really connect me with my culture during my Quest.
- Halona Joins her Shamon into the sweat lodge where they Smudge together and cleanse each other and the room before they begin heating up the rocks to begin the Sweat Lodge
- Halona reflects and prays
- The Shamon and halona heat the rocks and sit in the sweat lodge letting the heat and sweat purify there bodys and souls. This is a very important part of the Vision Quest as it helps to clear the mind of the person who is embarking on the quest.
- Halona finds her spirit animal
- I cannot believe it! My spirit animal is the bear!
- Halona goes for a walk to try and find the perfect place to find some alone time and pray. She believes that in the forest she spots ahead of her, would be the perfect spot as she can be in a quiet place all alone. In this spot, she can also be surrounded by nature and animals which will really help her connect with her culture.
- Halona spends 3 full days praying and had to fast for all 3 of these days trying to find her spirit animal. After the third day has almost passed, she sees a vision in her head.
- Halona is shocked that after 3 full days of praying and fasting she finds her spirit animal which is the bear. She is extremely happy and exited about it and cannot wait to tell the Shamon and her parents about this milestone.
