Elections and Voting Behavior

Okay so today we talked about Elections and Voting behavior.
I learned that there are 3 types of elections
Yea I think the 3 types is Primary election, General, and select options on specific politics
Discuss with each other what you have learned today and what you don't understand
Isn't it a citizen's choice whether to vote or not?
It wasn't until later , that anyone could just vote.
The 15th, 19th, and 26th amendment allowed the right for any race, sex, and 18+ to vote if you are a citizen.
Something i don't understand is Voter Registration and Civic Duty.
Voter Registration is the requirement of citizens to become registered in order to vote.
And civic duty is an action required by law for a citizen to perform. For example serving in the Military by the U.S.
I believe education is really important for voting.
Okay students, Who is more likely to vote?
Race and Gender also is an important factor in voting. Caucasians are more likely to vote. Females are also more likely. 
I think the older you are, the more likely you are to vote.

Lastly we just need to talk about Americans Vote and why they do it that way.
They use the Mandate Theory if Election.

Another theory of voting is retrospective and policy voting.
