  • The 3 witches meet Macbeth. Macbeth demands the witches to reveal the truth of their prophecies to him. When Macbeth demands the witches for their predictions, he says, "Even till destruction sicken, answer me." This quote is significant because it help Macbeth ro plan out is next step. Macbeth surmises whatever the 3 witches say about him. The witches' spells are a harbringer that spirits may appear.

  • Are you sure I should join you in overuling Macbeth? I believe he would be a better king that me.
  • To answer Macbeth's questions, the witches summon 3 horrible apparitions, each of which offers a prediction to reduce Macbeth's fears. The first apparation commanded by Macbeth was, " Beware Macduff. Beware the thane of Fife." This except is significant because Macbeth already have had a feeling that the noble thane, Macduff, would be the one to kill Macbeth. This helps Macbeth realize what his next step will be.
  • Scene 3 Part 2
  • "Be comforted. Let's make us med'cines of our great revenge to cure this deadly drief...dispute it like a man. It's time to get back at Macbeth."
  • "Your castle is surprised, your wife and babes davagely slaughtered.."
  • "My wife..my children..I must feel is as a man.."
  • Lady Macduff tells her son that Macduff is dead, as he denys it. As the messengaer approaches Lady Macduff, he informs her, "I doubt some danger does approach you nearly." This quote is important because he is forshadowing that they should flee, due to a bad prediction. Thsi scene is when the murderers preform wanton actions to them.
  • Malcom (one of Duncan's sons) and Macduff are negotiating about whether to kill Macbeth or not. As Malcom doubts his believes on becoming king, Macduff exclaims that, "Not in the legions of horrid hell can come a devil more damned in evils to top Macbeth!" This quote is essential because Macduff implies that Scotland not doing under Macbeth's rule, considering of the unexpected and many deaths. No trickey of Macbeth could be necessary to trap Macduff thither.

  • Macduff hears that his amily had been murdered and starts to sob. Malcome recompenses him by saying, "Let's make us med'cines of our great revenge to cure this deadly drief...dispute it like a man. It's time to get back at Macbeth" This quote is important because it is the falling action of the play. This is when both characters are determined to kill Macbeth.
