- Alzheimers is a disease that makes it hard for grandpa to remember things.
- Do you know who I am grandpa?
- Of course I do Timmy! Your my grandson! I just get confused sometimes that's all.
- A few months later Timmy goes into the doctors office for his yearly checkup!
- Hello! Im nurse Kelly I'll be doing your checkup today!
- Nice to meet you nurse Kelly! My name is Timmy.
- Checkup complete. Oh my, what's wrong Timmy?
- Im really confused and scared about my grandpa!

- I have a few questions, my Mom says my grandpa has Alzheimer's. Will I get Alzheimer's one day?
- Alzheimers is only found in about 1 in 10 people who are around your grandpa's age.
- My grandpa sometimes forgets where he is but still remembers my family, why does he only forget certain things?
- Alzheimer's only affects certain parts of the brain, everyone is different and grandpa might only forget things that just happened. But it isn't just memory, grandpa's personality can change as well.
- Oh, Why does this happen to the brain?
- The brain is made of many nerve cells and as we age plaque can build up, clog and tangle these cells which causes these issues. This plaque builds a lot quicker for those who have Alzheimers.
