  • At ISRO's Thumba Rocket Launch Site.....
  • How is that possible?
  • did you know that all three laws of newton can be applied for this rocket launch
  • Once this rocket takes off it will keep on going until some external forces act on it.. for eg:- the Voyager which was launched in 1977 is still floating in space as no external force has acted on it
  • So if this rocket is not set to a specific location or is not acted upon by a force it will go on forever?? Thats really cool!!
  • The rocket experiences the second law of motion which is the net force always depends on the mass and acceleration of the body. The rocket first burns alot of fuel thus breaking through the normal force and losing mass. LLosing mass gains acceleration.That is why rockets move slowly at first and then gain speed later.
  • So this also explains that when I kick a football it goes very far but when i tried kicking a bowling ball I had to use alot more force and yet it didnt move far.
  • The rocket also experiences the third law of motion where every action has and equal opposite reaction. In this case the gas pushes against the ground and the ground pushes back, thus making the rocket fly.
