Michael dreams of playing inthe Little League World Series but will not be able to play if they don't have some help.
  • Michael meets Ellie, whose father is a Major League pitcher for the Yankees, and he is also a Cuban immigrant. When he finds out that Michael can't play baseball because he cannot find his birth certificate, he calls n some favors and gets it for him so he canplay. Meanwhile, Ms. Cora talks to Mr. Gibbs and wants to be Michael and Carlos'sguardian, but he agrees to temporary custody as long as Carlos agrees to work withhim.
  • In conclusion, everything works out for the best for everyone in this book. The book shows how friends can help each other through hard times. Also, it is usually more helpful to be honest about your situation and ask for help rather than keeping secrets. I enjoyed this book because I love baseball and I liked the characters.
