The body Inside the body
Humans & Animals Humans and animals have animal cells. Animal cells are different from plant cells in many ways.
Plants Flowers, Moss, Shrubs, Conifers, and Deciduous trees all have plant cells.
Inside the body Cells can be found throughout the body, and to be seen, you must use a microscope. The same thing for plants.
Plant Cells Plant Cells are rectangular, and contain a cell wall. The cell wall helps the cell keep it's shape. The inner cell wall, called cell membrane, controls what enters and leaves the cell.
Animal Cells Unlike Plant Cells, animal cells are circular. The reason for this is that they do not have a cell wall, but do contain cell membrane. The cell membrane has the same job in both types of cells.
Why Green? Plant cells have oval shaped plastids inside the cell called chloroplasts. These contain Chlorophyll, a pigment liquid that makes plants green. Chloroplasts have outer and inner membrane. The inner contains Thylakoid and Stroma Lamellae.
