Joseph was Jacob's favorite son. He also had unusual dreams that predicted his rise to power. This made his 10 half-brothers jealous.

The brothers ended up selling Joseph to Israelites, who sold him as a slave in Egypt. Thankfully, he was sold to a good man called Potiphar.
Recreation 2: Double Dreams

Potiphar's wife attempted to seduce Joseph. When she failed to do, she falsely accused him of attacking her. Potiphar angrily put Joseph in jail.
Return to Order: Ruler of Egypt
Thankfully, the LORD was on Joseph's side. Joseph ended up making friends with the warden, and eventually becoming the acting warden.
Eventually, Joseph was brought to the Pharaoh to interpret his dreams. Joseph told the Pharaoh that the dreams were a sign of the future: seven years of plenty, and then seven years of famine.
In order to make sure that Egypt could survive the seven years of famine, the Pharaoh appointed Joseph to the second-most powerful position in the land: ruler over all of Egypt.
