1850s America - Causes of the Civil War - The timeline storyboard is perfect for illustrating and condensing the many important events that led up to the outbreak of the American Civil War. By using a timeline storyboard grid, students will be able to chronologically analyze how major events contributed to the eventual war. By outlining and defining major events such as the passing of the Compromise of 1850, the Kansas-Nebraska Act of 1854, as well as John Brown's raid on Harpers Ferry, students will be able to piece together the complicated web of events. However, students have the autonomy of applying and defining any and every event they want!
